On February the 20th 2024 we set off on our second parliamentary convoy with Stuart, Jon, Tom and Rob driving the vehicles. This trip almost didn’t take place for Stuart because 1 week earlier he was diagnosed with Melanoma and almost pulled out. He decided to postpone his treatment and deliver the aid that Alex Sobel, Alex Rennie and the Lady Mayoress of Leeds had raised. Stuart picked a hired trailer up and picked £1100 worth of wood kindly donated by Wicks in Leeds which would be used to board hospital windows up in Kharkiv. They set off and boarded the Eurostar then drove into Ukraine the following day. Once in Ukraine they delivered all the aid to operation Safe-drop in Lviv. Once all vans were emptied they reloaded for different destinations with Stuart and Jon delivering to 4 different hospitals in Kyiv. That was pretty tricky because the hospitals weren’t on the sat nav so Jon had to almost find them by knowledge of his previous trips to Kyiv. 5 hours later they had finally delivered everything and it was now time to take the long drive home. On this trip we had a celebrity (Jess Impiazzi) travel with us because she really wanted to help in any way possible so Jon let her travel with him. She was a huge help and really cared about the people in Ukraine. Stuart wants to thank Jon knight and Knights Tailoring who sponsored his trip without him this trip wouldn’t have happened. He also donates £100 per month to Emergency Ukraine and will keep that donation going until the conflict is over. THANK YOU JON KNIGHT
